Volunteer farming for hunger relief
rooted in community
WHAT WE DO
We engage and educate volunteers to grow fruits and vegetables for hunger relief
Members of our community who experience hunger are also more likely to have limited access to healthy foods. Limited access to healthy foods leads to poor health effects such as unhealthy diet, higher levels of obesity, and higher instances of diet-related diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. We farm and donate fruits and vegetables so everyone has the healthy option.
We have two locations – Harvard and Grafton – where you can volunteer in ways that fit your schedule throughout the year. There is always something going on at our farms!
”
Please consider supporting us as we continue to provide hunger relief in Massachusetts. We can’t do it without you!

Great place to volunteer to help share healthy food with families in need. Beautiful scenery, nice people, and an opportunity to pick veggies that can benefit the health of our neighbors.

PROUDLY SERVING MASSACHUSETTS
TWO LOCATIONS;
MAXIMUM IMPACT
We have two locations in Grafton and Harvard. Each location offers its own farming and volunteer opportunities.
GRAFTON
Our Grafton farm is located on two properties across the street from each other in Grafton, MA. The Brigham Hill Community Farm and the White Farm. Over 40 varieties of vegetables and blueberries are grown on 15 acres over these two properties surrounded by Grafton Land Trust land and trails. The beautiful post and beam Brigham Hill Community Barn is available for use. The Grafton volunteer season is May through October.
HARVARD
This property was gifted to CHP in 2014 and from it, CHP donates over 100,000 lbs of fruit annually to the hunger relief network. The orchard contains 13 varieties of apples, and 8 varieties of peaches on a 75-acre property, 30 of which we farm.
The primary volunteer season is apple picking from August through October, but small groups of volunteers also work from January through March to prune the trees.
