Volunteer Testimonials
Thank you all for giving us the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful day outdoors, the opportunity to meet new people, giving us new knowledge and allowing us to help others. I hope I have the opportunity to join you again.
The staff and crew are always so kind and engaging. Even though this it’s quite a drive for me to get to you, I will always look for opportunities to lend a hand at the “Project”.
I have participated in many volunteer days/events and hands down this was the best run and most enjoyable.
I left with the satisfaction that I had worked hard for a good reason.
If you want to encourage meaningful volunteerism, Community Harvest Project is where you should be.
It was fun and a nice day to be outside and do something good for the community.
Thanks for having us and for all you do! It’s a great way to get some team bonding and do something constructive and community-oriented.
I love visiting the farm and working together to help others in our community have access to fresh fruits and vegetables. The people are nice and helpful, and the volunteers love to be there knowing they are helping people who are food insecure.
I’m impressed with what can be done with volunteers. I tend a small garden at home and can appreciate what it takes to care for the large scale that Community Harvest runs. And all the fields looked so healthy!
I wanted to thank you again for the amazing time we had at CHP yesterday. Not only was it great to get out in a moment of great weather and to get our hands (and knees and faces) dirty, but also to do some Good (the kind with a capital-G) for our community and the world.
It was a very rewarding experience knowing that the little time we put in created so many servings of healthy food for people that need it. It’s eye opening knowing the struggles of the community and how much this project provides to it.
This summer I had the wonderful opportunity to work with a variety of corporate groups, children, and drop-in volunteers as a Team Leader. I enjoyed getting to learn a little bit about the wide range of people while working together to alleviate food insecurity. Thank you to everyone for your handwork in planting, tending, harvesting, washing, sorting, and packing hundreds of pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables.
